These general terms and conditions are based on the French laws and regulations concerning chambres d’hôtes. This translation is for information purposes only. Only the French version may be legally binding.
Article 1 – Length of stay
By signing the contract for a fixed period, you cannot under any circumstances claim any right to a longer stay.
Article 2- Ratification of reservation
After receiving your reservation request, we will send you a confirmation by email (reservation contract). We ask you to send a confirmation reply to this contract by email and we ask you to make a down payment within 14 days. This deposit amounts to 50% of the total travel sum with a minimum of two-night stay. Your reservation becomes valid upon receipt of the deposit. The payment of a deposit implies acceptance of these terms and conditions.
Article 3 – Distance purchase and right of withdrawal
A reservation made online, by telephone and/or by letter is a distance purchase. We must comply with Article L. 121 – 17 e.v. Code de la consommation. We would like to inform you that the right of withdrawal does not apply to the services we provide (prestations de service d’hebergements).
Article 4 – Cancellation by the client
All cancellations must be notified by letter or e-mail sent to the owner.
For cancellations more than 8 weeks before arrival, the entire deposit will be refunded;
For cancellations less than 8 weeks before arrival, 50% refund of the deposit will be made;
For cancellations less than 4 weeks before arrival, no refund of the deposit will be made;
In case of (partial) cancellation less than 2 weeks before arrival, the deposit will not be refunded and we will charge the remaining amount of the reserved stay (according to the reservation contract).
In the event of early departure during the stay: payment of the full agreed amount of the stay.
Article 5 – Cancellation insurance
We would like to point out that no cancellation insurance is included in our rates. We recommend that you take out travel and/or cancellation insurance.
Article 6 – Cancellation by the owner
If the owner of the accommodation cancels before the beginning of the stay, he must inform his client as soon as possible. The amounts already paid will be immediately refunded to the client.
Article 7 – Time of arrival
Arrival between 16.00 and 18.00 hrs. In case of a different desired arrival time and/or a late arrival due to unforeseen circumstances, please contact us. T: 0033 (0)6 23 20 77 80.
Article 8 – Departure time
The rooms must be made vacant before 10:00.
Article 9 – Payment of the remaining amount of the accommodation
The remaining amount of the stay (in accordance with the reservation contract, plus any additional costs such as table d’hote and drinks) must be paid on the day of departure.
Article 10 – Change of rooms
Without the customer being able to claim any compensation, the owner reserves the right to change the room originally reserved for the customer to a room with the same or a higher capacity. In such cases, the cost of the reservation remains unchanged.
Article 11 – Pets
Pets are allowed only on our apartments “La Barge”, “Ponceau” and “Salle de Musique”
Article 12 – Lifestyle, utilisation of the accommodation
A certain lifestyle is required of all guests to ensure the tranquillity of the location and the comfort of the guests. In addition, it is requested not to smoke in the whole building. The client agrees to follow the instructions on how to behave at “Chateau La Barge”, as well as the general terms and conditions.
The client agrees to ensure that the rooms are left in perfect condition at the end of the stay and declares that he accepts, and will pay for, any damage for which he is responsible.
The kitchen is not usable/available to guests.
Children stay at Chateau La Barge under the absolute responsibility of their parents/carers and must always be accompanied by an adult in the house and/or on the grounds (including the swimming pool).
The stay in Chateau La Barge and the use of all facilities such as the pool and the car park is at your own risk.
Chateau La Barge is not liable for loss, theft and/or damage or injury to property and/or persons on the caused to goods and/or persons on the property, regardless of the cause.
Article 13 – Modifications of terms and conditions
These terms and conditions may be subject to change at any time and without notice. The acceptance of and compliance with these terms and conditions shall be deemed accepted upon payment of the deposit.
Article 14 –
According to the law of 6 January 1978, you have the right to access and rectify data concerning you. “Chateau La Barge” declares that it will treat this data confidentially and not pass it on to third parties.
